i have a80s 185 three wheeler i ride in the woods the only problem is when i go over a steep water bar or Kelly hump ,what we call them anyway , it boggs trying to go over the top and wont make it ,,but it runs great other wise its just when you come to a steep spot any help i would really appreciate it im really tired of it ....

WHen you go over a steep area down shifting won't help? It's' possible that you have lost power over the 20+ years, I think I would look into freshening up the engine I wouldn't necessarily bore it or anything it runs now, but bead hone the cylinder and re-ring it. maybe clean up the head intake port and exhaus port to get rid of the carbon build-up. I would also invest in a carb kit and rebuild that as well. Keep us posted

Yeah, I would try cleaning the carb first. Also, check and make sure fuel is flowing from the tank good. The fuel hose or cut off valve may be about stopped up. I would try all the simple things first, like changing the spark plug and cleaning the air filter, etc.
