I have an 02 foreman 450 es and when I engage my 4x4 I get nothing. I t has the traxlox on it from the factory. I know on my 06 500 foreman I can actually here it engage when I flip the switch. I am by no means an atv mechanic and have no idea of where or what to start checking. It seems to be a great running bike and I bought it for my kids but do not feel safe letting them ride it until I can figure out and fix the problem. Any help would greatly be apreciated. Thanks!!!

Welcome to the forums. When you turn the key on, does the 4wd indicator on the display flash?

At the moment the whole display is broken. I am currently trying to find a used one to replace it.

You can retrieve the trouble codes for the 4wd system, but you have to have a working display because the 4wd indicator light flashes the codes.

I'll post the procedures and codes anyway.

If the display doesn't work, then that could be the problem with the Traxlok system. The 4wd indicator flashes the codes and the indicator is wired through a CPU inside the display. If the CPU inside the display isn't working, the Traxlok system can't function. The diagram below is the wiring diagram for the Traxlok system. I've circled in red, the display with the CPU inside.
