Hey everyone it's been a while since I posted anything. I have a 03 Foreman 450es with selectable 4x4. When I engage my 4 x 4 acts like it's bound up. My front passenger side axle is broken would that cause it to do that? I've went through the front differential everything looks good bearings Etc no metal shavings any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!!!

the drive axle should not keep It from turning ?, it would make some noise..but not stop it from turning ..unlessssssss ..its in such an angle that the front differential can't rotate ?. is it lifted much ?.

It's lifted 2" let me rephrase "bound up" after the axle broke it would try to go forward but not move. Once disengaged it would go fine

time to tear into the front diff then. something is not right with the front differential. try lifting the atv up, all 4 wheels off the ground, remove the front drive axle that got broken, see if the front diff will turn ?, if not ?, then you will need to remove the front differential, and see whats broken inside it. you can down load the service manual from our site here, and have a look in it .
