ok, there is some posts in other sections of this forum, but i'm looking for anyone who has done this upgrade... anyone out there used the 450r a-arms and shocks on a 250x? if so please post here to tell any snags you ran into or tips you may have... thanks. I'm probably gonna be doing this swap in the spring when funds allow so the more prepared I am with all the right parts the better.. thanks Jason

Jason all you'll need is a shock conversion kit and the shocks and a arms.also the tie rods and maybe the brake lines.

I widened the front of mine 3 inches on each side and used the stock lines.I think the 450r a arms only widen it 2 inches per side.

well i'm also looking for feedback on weither its worth the work or is there a better option or is the stock set up fine... I can only think that a wider stance would be better and it seems that most of the parts are cheap and easy to get. From what i've seen I can get a-arms and tie rods for about $150 and the shocks around $250... so for the money it seems its worth it... but i'd like to hear first hand info...

Well I'm telling you now it deffinetaly does help with stability. And The stock system is fine unless your jumping or a lot of rough riding.I'd do it if I was you.Eventually I'm gonna get +2 450r a arms.So it'll be really wide.

You don't need 450R A-Arms in order to use 450R shocks...www.diamondjcustoms.com has a widening conversion kit for $220.00 all you'll need then is just the shocks.

Ture I'm just tossing another option it's also better if you use KFX450 shocks too they ride a little better from what I've been told.
