Today I borrowed my brothers 450r to ride with some friends of mine. When I went to unload it it was in first gear so I just pulled in the clutch and hit the starter button and when it started to crank it felt like it was pulling a little. I put it in neutral and started it up and unloaded it,everything worked fine. I shut it off and put it back in gear and restarted it and it started right up no pulling or anything out of the ordinary. We rode about three hours and not so much as a slip or anything. Just wondering if there is anything to be concerned of or if the clutch needs adjusted or what else would cause this. He said he noticed it a time or two also but the clutch seems to work great. Thanks for the help.

A lot of quads do that when they're cold, but they usually straighten out when warmed up. Sometimes the clutch baskets can get groves worn in them from the clutch discs and cause this to be a little worse, too. I don't really think it's anything to worry about.

Thanks for the help Helmut. We didn't think it was a big problem but wanted some advice on the matter. You guys are always on top of things and really know your stuff and that's what makes this forum so good.
