I recently purchased a 2007 420FM rancher. Plain jane with camo graphics, foot shift and FI. It has heated grips that unfortunately are not working. The switch is mounted on side of bike in front of handlebars. Is this factory install from Honda? How can I check to see what the issue is? Also the instrument cluster is just bulbs. No graphics. The 4 wheel drive is engaged but the instrument light isn't on. Can these bulbs be changed easily? I don't have a manual yet so just thought someone else might have some insight. Thanks.

The heated grips are an add on probability plugged into the accessory plug under the front hood. You’d just have to test it and see what’s what.
The 4x4 light should come on if the 4x4 is engaged. First I would test ride and make sure the 4x4 actually works. The light won’t come on if if the front diff isn’t working.
You can also check the plug on the diff and make sure it’s plugged in good.
If it’s plugged in and the 4x4 actually works on the bike then it could be a bulb.

bulbs can be changed if bad ?, as for the 4wd working or not ?, jack the whole atv up off the ground, crank it up, put it in gear, and see if the front is turning ?. you can down load the service manual from our site here for free :).
