I used my 420 for Security and rally setup during the last two weeks at the ROT rally in Austin, TX. Last year, I used my Polaris RZR. I have to say the Rancher was much more enjoyable to ride. I had a 3x4 trailer to carry gear for setup and it actually gave me more space to carry the things I needed than I had with the small bed on the RZR. The only thing I didn't have was the extra seat for others to ride with me. I put over 40 hours and 250 miles on the Rancher in 13 days. I must say it is nice to have the reliability and quality of the Honda.

Now, I can just enjoy using it for trails and weekend outings until next years rally. I am looking forward to some additional exploring along the Red River and other nearby North Texas riding locations.

I am very pleased with the Rancher. I have the electric shift model and have read some have issues with these units. I did not have any problems during my working with it for the first 50 hours and hope I have one of the "good ones" that is not going to cause me any issues.

which one the ES or AT? AT is both ES and auto also the AT is Independant Rear Suspension. I love the ride it is very sporty! handles great and handles offset a little better than solid axle. also better ground clearance. Other than that they are the same. If you can find an 09 model you may be able to get it for a good price. I paid $5400 in 09
