Hi, I've got a 2001 400ex that I bought as a project. Wasn't running when I got it. it had jumped time due to a stretched timing chain. So I replaced the timing chain and got the cylinder back on. I went to check the timing marks and the piston is at the top but my mark on the flywheel is at the bottom. No matter how many revolutions I turn it, its always on the bottom. I'm thinking sheared key, but if anyone has experienced this I appreciate the help.

Pull the flywheel and check thats the simplest way.... If its sheered simply replace the key. I will tell you though, you probably bent the valves.
