Hi everyone! I bought a 400EX last fall - my first quad/bike. I've been having problems with it since after the winter, the latest being the charging system - the battery discharges when it's running so after I shut it down the battery's drained and it won't start again.

I had a mechanic that could fix absolutely anything but he's not around anymore so I'm just hoping to find some answers around here to lead me in the right direction.

I'm also looking for people near the Akron, Ohio area to ride with. . .

Welcome to the forums! I would first start by checking your battery to make sure it is still good. If the battery tests fine, my guess is your alternator.
