I added a few things i came across on ebay for my 400ex. One is a oil dipstick with a temp guage in it. Seems to work really well so far and the machine work was top notch! And it uses a really high quality thermometer. The second one is a greaseable swing arm pivot bolt. I needed a new one since mine was wore out pretty bad and this one was only about 15 bucks more then a new oem one. And it is actually a oem one that they modify. So for 15 bucks you get a brandnew oem bolt modifyed with a grease zerk and cap on other side and small holes drilled in it. Should eliminate the bolt getting seized.

Thats swing arm bolt is a damn good idea! The oil dipstick temp gauges i have looked at but couldnt confirm if it was the same threads as the dipstick on my 420, so instead of that i got a replacment radiator cap with a built in thermometer. Works pretty damn well if you ask me. Fits tight with no leaks and based on what temp it reads when my fan kicks on id say its pretty damn accurate as well!

PS, are you the same SlammedRanger on the Ranger Forums? If so, my username may ring a bell for you.

Nope not on ranger forums. Sadly i got rid of my ranger many years before i was on forums. But i miss it everyday. I took the all wheel drive out of a ford explorer and the 5.0l v8 and put it in a ford ranger that was static dropped. It was a beast. I had it running high 11s in the quarter mile. At summit motorsports park or norwalk raceway park back then lol. Fun build i did in high school.
