Ive cleaned a 400 ex carb like 6 times with a rebuild kit and still docent run right. it does have a slip on exhaust air mixture screw set to 2 and a half out. it idles kinda but when I rev it its choppy and not smooth at all then usually dies when let off the throttle. is this due to air problem. My air Duct, Snorkel is broke could that play a role or and airbus lid is on. please help!!!!!!!!

Did you change any of the jets in the carb?

If your snorkel is broken, you could be sucking in too much air.

More importantly, if the snorkel is broken, then the engine might be pulling in dirt and debris as the air is not passing through the air filter.

Every time you have cleaned you carb has there been junk in it? Did you rebuild it with OEM parts?

What size jets(main and pilot) do you have in the carb?
