So y’all know I’ve been messing with a 350 that my uncle got cheap.
I had to rebuild front end, rear end, do a lot of minor fixes, and last week I put another carb on it (psn) because the original leaked out the overflow.
I adjusted valves last week and apparently did so on the exhaust stroke because it started tapping a lot louder. Got dark so I left it alone.
Adjusted them again this afternoon and the bike sounds great now. Did .006 on both valves.
Starts right up, idles smoothly, and sounds like a sewing machine.
I get on it to take it for a spin and it won’t rev out. It’s like it stops revving at 1/2 throttle. I pulled back to the house thinking the throttle cable might be binding up but the cable is pulling the butterfly all the way open, the bike just doesn’t have any power.
Valves too tight cause this? This thing had been ridden hard and put up wet but it had plenty of power last week, just noisy valves.
Trying to figuyout what it could be before I dig back into it.
