Welcome to the forums. I would unbolt the axle hubs, take the brake drum off and remove the brakes and the brake backing plate. Unbolt the left side of the axle tube from the left side of the diff (4 bolts). Then, knock the axle out the right side and check the splines on the axle where it goes through the ring gear. If that's not the problem, unbolt the rear diff from the swing arm and look at the pinion shaft splines and the driveshaft splines. Check all splines to make sure they're not stripped.

I usually put it up on a atv lift and remove rear diff full plug, this will give you a view of what the ring gear is doing. Start the atv and put in first gear and give a little bit of throttle to spin the tires. If the ring gear is turning and the tires aren't you know your problem isn't in the rear diff. Ranchers are known for stripping the splines out on the axle. It is recommended to replace both ring gear and axle together.
