MY 2000 Honda 300ex -- on my custom build special I unknowingly broke the clutch safety switch (apparently left it in a "make" or closed condition), then later managed to MOMENTARILY (1 second or less) hit start switch with trans in gear and clutch engaged -- engine turned over with a lot of mechanical racket or clatter, (but no loud snap which might indicate a gear tooth breaking) -- then noticed neither green nor red indicator light would work in neutral or any gear) -- so I assume I damaged red and green switches at crankcase (hopefully nothing else??) -- I am now afraid to touch anything -- what should I do next??
