Well i installed it and pulled the plug wire off and cranked it for a little bit checked and added oil and continued untill it came out of the line. Now my quad basically runs cold. Its sweet! If anyone else was thinking of adding this mod its awesome. Add a 450r fan and shroud and your good to go! Ill post some pics!

Looking good bro I'm adding the oil cooler to my 250X minus the fan you quad should run better with the cooler engine, Great job!! I would try to get something to mount the fan with rather than zipties though the may break with vibration. you may can use Adel Clamps instead.

It's surprising the 300ex doesn't come factory with an oil cooler. The 350x trike came with one in 1986 lol. It's almost like Honda took a step in the wrong direction.

But on second thought they may last a while cuz my brothers 400ex is like held togeather with them lol. But yeah i hooked it up to where the lights were and i can switch the head light switch to kick it on. I love how cold it runs!

Yeah its really easy and GDH racing has them for like 80 bucks and they just hook right up to the stock lines. Super easy and makes a huge difference.

If you had some of those wide zip ties that are about 1/2 wide, it would hold. I have some of them and they will hold a lot.

The zip ties that are on it have a strip of metal in them and they are super strong but i dont like the way it looks all rigged. Im just gunna weld up mounts then it will look like it came that way from the factory!

Hey SlammedRanger could you post up some pic.s of how you hooked up the cooler lines? I am guessing the lines are low pressure or did you bubble flare the lines ends? I want to do the same thing to my 97 300ex aswell!

I looked it up and saw that the fittings were banjo style like the existing.
