Yeah, you may have fried the coil. What two wires did you plug together?

Also, check the spark plug boot that screws on the end of the coil wire. It has a little thing on the inside of it that can burn out. I don't know what to call it. You can check the spark plug boot for continuity.

I am curious what they are for. If I seen two plugs that plugged together I would have done the same thing, joined them. I would get a manual like mud99 said. They are nice to have. Are the lights and stuff still on the quad? does everything work like reverse lights etc etc??

Agree^^^^ what color are the wires...the 250X basically has the same wiring harness minus the electric start.

Yeah, that could be the overflow for the carb. It don't need to be blocked off. If the float is sticking that won't let the fuel out and will cause it to flood and not want to run. I would take the bolt out and see if it runs any better.

By the way, I sent you another private message and email. Let me know if you got it.
