So please help me with something.... I was looking to buy a 300ex and the guy said It has a stage2 jet kit. I look at the the air box and its not modified whatsoever and has a stock air filter. Now to have a stage 2 arent these critical steps to take to ensure the bike would actually run with a stage 2. Is someone trying to scam me?? Thanks for any help you could give

Thanks Saber6 for the response. It had a DG exhust on it. It seems to run pretty well. Seems like a dumb thing to lie about unless it is possible to do w/out modifying the air box. Id hate this to be a deal breaker.

Stage 2 Dynojett requires you to remove the airbox lid and install te supplied K&N air filter. stock honda filters are Uni I believe but in order to achieve the performance i say the lid needs to be off.

Bickford sounds like your guy and my guy are related. Whats the sense in lying about that. A jet kit gives what.....8% more power..... Is it really worth looking like a dirt bag for? Well the bike looks good dispite his owner trying to make it look bad. It seems to really run, but now that I dont trust him what do you think I should really look over before i buy it. What is most problematic with these 300ex? I realize not enough gratitude is given on these forums... I really appreciate the (free) help you all provide. It is so much better than the people at the steelership looking at you like your stupid and give condasending answers..... So thank you very much ::icon_ peace:

Well TRX2five0 we might have to line um up if I go on and buy this thing, because probably by the end of the weekend (the way this guy is talking) he may have done a jet plane engine swap LOL, especially if I tell him yours is faster. I appreciate your help, and your right trying to find a hill when your electric start goes is a big problem.

Just for a little clarity, Jetting is not an upgrade. The only reason you see a power gain when you jet is because you are setting your carb up with the proper fuel/air ratio. The stage 2 jet kit is just a kit for the person that wants to run open air box. The more air and fuel you add the more power you will get.
