2000 300ex with fmf exhaust. It started running a little rough so I cleaned the carb and can’t get it to stop flooding. Changed the float needle and checked the float for cracks. 118 jet a/f screw set 3 turns out main needle set on 4th notch down. I can’t figure out what it is and I’ve fooled and fooled with it for a week

my 2000 450 es, had just a bit of mineral where the needle sits, in the float bowl. i think it was caused by ethanol gas, and the water it attracts. if you have to clean the seat, be careful, you could lose the whole carburetor.. were you flooding before you cleaned carb?

You say it has a 118 main jet.. They are stock with a 122, so this tells me it's a Dyno Jet 118 which is a 125 Keihin. No biggie if you have a full FMF...

IF it's flooding, do you mean it comes out overflow? IF so, that tells me that the float is sticking. You say you replaced the float & needle? This tells me you may have not got it back in correctly causing it to stick...

Give me all the info you have..... & I will do my best to help you out...

I finally got it figured out. It is a dyno jet kit and it said so set my af screw 3 turns out so I did. But I read somewhere else that it only needs to be 2 turns out so I tried that and it runs like a champ now
