K well just got my cam and rockers changed and i got a few quick questions. When you do this should u have to adjust the idle? and will i need 2 rejet?

i had to adjust mine a little.I left my setup the way i had it other than that.yours might have more topend though so might have to mess with fuel screw.

If you went above stock on the cam yes you will need to rejet. anytime you add performance you need to compensate the carb to match.

Yeah how much difference u think cuz i got a 140 in now and its a tad rich but i would much rather b rich than lean! its a stage 2 webcam btw

No need to rejet if the cams and rocker arms are stock spec. you might want to check its tappets after 100kms about the a/f you might also need to ajust a bit.

With a 140 main you should be fine are you running a 40 or 42 pilot?

Yeah i rode it today finally first time since i changed the parts and its fast but i think its still lean the plug came out brown on the tip but the white part down in the center was pretty much white still. I also noticed the idle was kinda going a little crazy when i was going fast then slowed down real fast.

Tappets are rocker arms. You set your valve clearance by adjusting the tappets or rocker arms.

yeah sounds lean to me.Actually sonds like theres a hole in the intake tube.

well i dunno what is going on but its tapping a bit again no where near as bad as before but just a light tapping you can kinda here when its idleing. Should the cam make noise cuz my brother says its just cam noise.

I don't know how loud yours is, but yeah, you can usually listen real close and here the cam and rockers.

Yeah im probably just over analyzing it. But when i get my jet im gunna pull off the covers and check the valve clearance and look down in at the cam just to make sure its not doing anything crazy.

Ok so i think my quad just had to get used to the new parts cuz it is running real good now like practically no valve noise at all. One thing i did notice is it has lots of low end power and top end power but it kinda falls on its face in the mid range is that normal or should i maybe move the needle and see if that richens me up enough i wont need the 142?
