Got a 89 trx350d here with a bad engine and need to know if they are different in terms of swapping the smaller engine into the Foreman. The 300 is a 88 model year. They look a lot alike but I don't want to jump into it if it isn't going to work.

I doubt if it would work without a lot of fabricating. The 300 has a transfer case and the 350 doesn't. Even if the engine would bolt in the frame, you would probably have problems hooking the front driveshaft up since you would have to get rid of the transfer case.
