Hey yall. Me and my father were out riding with a couple of buddies this past weekend. He was driving his 300fourtrax and everytime he turn his steering the front end would pop. i think one of his front axles are going out but both the front wheels are pulling fine. Am i right? Does anyone have any ideas on what he should do if the axles are going bad?

Yeah, it sounds like the outer CV joints are bad. He'll need to replace the axles.

Ok thanks. I was looking at getting some gorilla axles as replacments for the front. Do you know if there any good?

I've never tried the gorilla axles, myself, but everyone else says they are great axles, a lot better than OEM. Probably a lot more expensive than OEM, too.

I just did that job on my uncles 1993 Fourtrax 300 a few months ago. I purchased new cv shafts on ebay (see link below) for $65 each (with shipping) and they work great.

You will also probaly have to replace the oil seals on the front differential.

Sweet thanks for the link that will be perfect. Dad said he didn't want to spend alot of money to fix his toy up.
