Im just lookiung for the procedure on how to adjust the timing chain on the bike thanks?
The Fourtrax 300 has a spring loaded auto adjuster.

ohh ok so thetre is no need to adjust it at all? If i change the chain is it good to get a honda one? and ive heard of ppl using a 250 big red chain whats the benefits and is it better?

Yeah, the timing chain tensioner automatically adjusts as the timing chain wears. Of course, it can only adjust so far, so if the chain has slack, then the chain needs to be replaced.

I have also heard of people using the 250 Big Red chain, but I always just went with the stock chain so I can't really speak for any benefits. I think it's supposed to be stronger, though.

Thanks alot Helmut you always seem to be on the ball with these things... i think ill just look in to getting a new chain and guides
