agree ^^^^^^.it's not any different than any other top end job..just make sure when you order your parts..gaskets..rings.piston if you need it..that you get the right parts !!..there is alot of after market parts out that you can get just about anywhere..if you want stock..you will need to order them from the dealer..but..it will come alittle bit steeper than after market...oh..and it helps out alot..if you get your hands on a repair manaul !.

Just got done doing a whole top and bottom end rebuild on this motor its not that hard definetly get your hands on a manuel and dont be afraid to ask questions were here to help and i probably struggled in the same places as you will. Ill try to get back with you as soon as possible on any and i mean any question you have (theres no such thing as a dumb question) when your dealing with your quad running or blowing up. Welcome to the forums btw!
If you dont mind me asking. How much ru looking at paying for a 300ex needing a topend rebuild? Just to make sure ur not getting ripped off!

Thats not bad completely stock? And namura is a good kit im sure the only experiance i had was bad but that wasnt there fault wrong size piston= not a fun day! LOL

600 for the whole bike is a steal !!..providing it doesn't have any lower unit problems !!!..if it's just a top end job..new piston..honing or boring..rings..top end gaskets..timming chain might be bad ?...you came out pretty good i'd say..but..if it's a lower end job..yikes..get ready to dish out alot of cash if you don't know how...and send it off to have a dealer mess with it...but..just to rebuild the top end..easy as throwing rocks in a pond..lol.

don't let the title issue scare you..be more concerned about getting a bill of sell..and the vin#'s are still on the bike..and not tampered with..if you buy from a junk yard..or salvage yard that is....a bill of sell..in most states..will save yer butt from jail..if you ever get stoped..and they run it..and it comes back reported stolen..then you got prof where you got it.

I ran a VIN number and it said it hadn't been reported stolen.
