You'll need a battery in good condition installed (at all times, else the stator will fry) to power the ignition system, an OEM 300 ignition switch and an OEM 300 handlebar switches assembly. You'll need the OEM 300 CDI and the 300 dash with neutral light too. In other words the entire '95 300 electrical system is required, there is much more involved than just a wiring harness swap.

Do you have the dash lights sub harness too? Cause you’ll need to power/close the neutral and oil temp/alarm units-circuit. And then you’ll see the dash light

Sounds like a cool project

Thanks for the info I have everything except a key and about to buy one on eBay wasn’t sure if it was required to check spark not “jerry rigging” anything Either I could have easily stuck one of the 5 250 motors on my floor in it but I want more power to turn my 30” silver backs.... making an insane mud bike pics soon thanks again

Oh yeah sounds fun.

peripheral subharnesses you’ll need to fit:
Master power switch (key switch)

Run switch subharness might be able to use the frame original

Neutral reverse and oil temp switche subharness

Neutral and reverse position subharness

You’ll need a voltage regulator, too. I’m not sure what you have or what others will work, but it would be easiest to use the model year matching components
