I just bought a 96 300 fourtrax 4x4 and it doesnt turn to the right properly. I noticed a bent tie rod on the left and replaced the entire tie rod assembly on both sides.
It appears that when the handle bars are lined up straight then the steering stem is rotated too far right and thus the dead stop hits right away when you turn right. Anyhow, when turning left then it actually turns too far left and the inside of the right rim ribs on the plastic Cv guard? I see no damage to the steering stem but have come to the conclusion that its twisted? There is a keyed like area on the spline/teeth part at the bottom of the stem so that it goes into the tie rod housing properly and its not damaged and appears just fine. Is there a way to adjust the handle bars or must I change the entire stem?I have adjusted the tie rod ends until I am blue trying to correct this and find a neutral position for the handle bars yet have the bike still track straight. I cant find that magic spot and any help would be appreciated!!!

Welcome to the forums. Are the tie rods adjusted evenly? With the handlebars straight, the tie rods need to be adjusted evenly, so they are the same length.
