im looking to purchase new tires for my 08 foreman 500 and got it narrowed down to two brands and need a little advice. first off i would like to go with 26" tires, either sti mud trax or maxxis big horn 2.0, i would prefer the sti's. im i going to lose power only going up to 26's? whats the weight difference in these two brands of tires or will it even matter? i also put on a 2" lift so i hope that will help with running these larger tires. thanks

As far as weight difference I don't know but a 26" tire should not affect the power very much at all on your quad.

I agree with Sub. It may be enough to notice, but it shouldn't be all that much power loss.

I noticed no power loss whatsover when I put 26" tires on my Rincon

Yes i would agree there wouldn't any noticeable power loss but handing should be observed though.

I have a 420 and put 25" bighorns on it. They actually measure 26" so 26" 'horns will probably run close to 27". That being said the power loss was little to none over my stock 24" tires.
