iv been lookin for an aftermarket hood for my 300ex an somebody said that a 250r stock hood will work with alittle bit of work and that the headlight will fit in the hood....is this true? has anybody done this cause im wanting to try it? pics would b nice if u hav any

Welcome to the forums.... Check with www.maier-mfg.com they have some hood scoop for the 300ex that look simular to the 250R or they did.

yeah iv check them out but they dont offer just the hood u gotta buy the whole front piece. i found a 300 on youtube with an aftermarket 250r hood an it looked good so i might try that

Yea i have seen this done "youtube" you have to use a heat gun to mold the 250r hood to the 250x/300ex plastic I have seen them for sale on ebay for like $50 but you have to be skilled enough to fabricate it. They look cool when there done but its alot of work.

i was lookin around earlier an found some 300s with aftermarket 250r hoods an kinda looked like it might bolt up just hav to trim it up some

Yea to do that you have to mold the 250r hood to fit the stock plastic on you tube there is one that talks about how they do it. Because I saw it an wanted to do it to mine
