I don't know what they gave you, but I don't think a 250EX has an oil filter. It just has a screen on the inside of the crankcase and you have to split the case to get to it.I bought a 2003 250EX. I called the dealer to get an oil filter and got one. Its the paper type.
I got home, drained the oil and can not find the oil filter for the life of me.
Am I blind, or where is hiding?
Thanks guys.but I don't think a 250EX has an oil filter. It just has a screen on the inside of the crankcase and you have to split the case to get to it.
Welcome to the forums. That's what most people do. The screen isn't a regular maintenance item. Most people only clean the screen if they are going into the engine for other repairs.
The 250EX doesn't have an oil filter, it only has a screen in the bottom of the engine and you have to split the crankcase to get it out. Just keep your oil changed regularly and you will be fine. Most people never clean the screen and never have a problem. You know i just posted the same question. I have an 05 250 and cant seem to find anywhere there would be a filter.
