i have a 07 250ex. needle valve is sticking, cant seem to get the pin out of the float. any ideas or tools i need.
if your talking about your float needle..sometimes they gum up..and can stick in the float needle seat..spray some wd-40 on it..with some small needle noise pliers..hemo-stats work the best ( they have a very small tip )..carefully turn the needle around from one side to the other..it will come out...what ever you do..do not spray it with carb cleaner like gumm out !.that float needle has a rubber tip..and gum out will disolve it !.

Yes, I agree with Moose. Be careful not to break the little towers off that hold the pin, they break easy.

If one of the towers that holds the pin in, is taller than the other, the pin comes out the tall tower side. It knocks from the shorter tower out the tall tower side. The short tower is the press fit side.

i guess i shoulda asked which part he was asking about..the straight float holder pin can be a pain to get out..and yes..i have broke them off before !..lol..i wound up super glueing it back on..and to this day ( that i know of ? )..it still is holding. all i know is..they do like helmut said..break very easy. i tap any pins out i do now with a nail i grounded down on my bench grinder smaller than the pin..and longer than one thickness of one side of the tower..works pretty good..just don't go tap crazy on it..and it knocks right out.
