My 2018 Honda Rancher 4x4 has only 15 miles on it now, and this has existed since I got it home.

When I'm riding the atv I don't notice this issue at all, only when I'm stopped and I turn the handle bars left and right do I notice about 1-2 millimeters worth of slack in my steering, and it also makes a clack when I move the handle bars back and forth.

I am going on a ride tomorrow afternoon, so I'm not going to have time to take it to my dealership to have them inspect it before the ride.

Do you guys think this is normal? Or should I postpone my ride tomorrow and wait for the dealership to look at it? This is my first Honda atv so I have no clue what's normal and what's not.

I wouldn't postpone my ride but I'd take it to the dealer and have them check it out. PS> there is a small amount of slack in the steering shaft bushing but there should be no slack in the tie rod ends.
Thanks for the reply!

The slack seems to be coming from above or at the top the steering shaft somewhere close to the handle bars because the steering shaft doesn't move when turn the handle bars through the slack. Also the tie rod ends are tight.

Is that the slack you were taking about in the steering shaft bushing?

Yes. Dont worry about it.
