2017 rancher randomly shuts off

I was riding my rancher today and I gave it gas, and it made a pop sound and shut off. This is about the 3rd time it has happened and is starting to concern me

hmm that is odd. Any codes or dummy lights come on? Warranty up?

Agreed, if it's under warranty you'd be just wasting your time and money trying to repair it yourself.
