welcome to the forums. take the 1 1/2 hour drive , you don't need to void the warranty !!. they could say you did it wrong ?, and now it will cost you more cash to fix sense you voided the warranty. when the warranty runs out ?, do as you wish, but for now ?, take the drive !.
