Hi all. I bought a 2016 rancher 1year and a month ago. It has 11 hours and 50 miles on it. The o2 sensor went bad. Is this a common problem? The dealer said they’ve seen a few this past year... Honda wouldn’t cover the censor or labor either. They said it may be from too little use. Out $260 on what I feel is still a pretty darn new machine. Just wondering if anyone else out there has had this issue.

Yeah, thats commonly what happens when you don't use the ATV often enough. Old rotting fuel in the tank takes out the O2 sensor. It'll take out the fuel pump next... so drain the tank of all fuel and run the motor out of gas whenever it will be stored for 30 days or longer from the date fuel was fresh. Don't ever put any ethanol laced gas in it either. Welcome to the forums!

yes letting an atv sit for LONG periods of time is not really good for them, or anything with a motor in it to be honest, the fuel today SUCKS, it goes bad fast and ruins things
I would ONLY be using NON ethanol fuel and even be treating it with something like Stabil storage
as your really NOT running this thing very often, to keep i moving!

Agreed with previous suggestions. I had a 2016 for several years, and loved it. If you get it running right, then care for it and ride it often, it will put a smile on your face every time you hit the start button. I rode mine at least once every 48 hours, but I live in a place where I can do that legally.
