Hey guys do your 500s have a tick at higher rpms.? I keep hearing a noise similar to like a lifter ticking or valve in mine. Not sure if it's normal or not. I've never rode a newer one until I got mine. Lol. 2015 foreman 500es.

hows the oil level?

have you done the first initial valve adjustment?

Oil is good. Haven't adjusted the valves. May do that soon. And never been overheated.

I didn't have a tick in my 2015 foreman until I adjusted the valve clearance last week at 210 miles. I set clearance according to spec (.006 intake and .009 exhaust), and now it does make a ticking noise that is quite loud, although the noise is present at all rpms, not just at high rpm like you stated. I don't think I can accept it this way. I plan on resetting clearance to .003 intake and .006 exhaust. I wish they would switch to hydraulic lifters on these motors. It seems like it would be a pretty easy change to make.

I would first adjust the valves and report back.

PS. don't forget to adjust them on the COMPRESSION stroke.
