it went from running normal to having this problem from one evening to the next morning.

it starts like normal and dies after a few seconds. you have to turn the key off and back on to start back again but it will never run more than a few seconds. put a spark tester and the spark stops causing the atv to die. changed the ignition coil and computer module made sure the kill switch was working properly. took it to the local dealer and they said it needed a new fuel pump(which didn't fix the problem) and now they are saying the cam lobes are worn down and needs a new cam. That explanation didn't make any since so i brought it back home before they screwed me for over 1,000$

What else should i try?

dang sure don't need a cam !..lmfao..thats a new one on me !. almost sounds like the injector is clogged ?, fuel not reaching the injector ?, is there a fuel pet cock ?, is it off ?, enough fuel in the tank ?.

Also with what Shade said to add to it, is your fuel filter paticall clogged? Are you running a stabilizer MADE FOR ETHANOL FUEL? I would find out from the dealer what pressure your injector pops at, and have a diesel shop or any good A+ injector shop pop test it. If that doesn't work then get some throttle body and Mass Airflow spray and start cleaning your sensor and throttle body SQUEAKY CLEAN. Your CDI and ignition system is in great shape from what I read.

Welcome to the forum! These don't have a petcock to slow fuel flow. Change your spark plug first and foremost. It could alo be possibly the fuel pump rely or the bank angle sensor going bad. Is your bike snorkeled? Or ridden in water? Is there a possibility you got water in gas tank maybe even by washing it or leaving it in the rain? Are you in freezing temps?
Also loosen your gas cap for venting and see if that helps. You can try removing the air filter for air flow and see if that makes a difference.
Here's a service manual if needed for testing procedures in the bank angle sensor or fuel pump rely.
EDIT: Testing procedure for the bank angle sensor is to replace it with a good one lol
Pretty technical stuff.

You state in the OP that you used a spark tester to determine that the spark stops causing the ATV to die. You have made several changes to ignition and fuel since that time. If you use your spark tester now, what is it telling you?

i forgot to mention the we put a new spark plug when it first stared doing this. I have removed the injector and (entire fuel system) and cleaned it and cranked the atv with the injector out and it sprays. i have also tried running it on starting fluid and it makes no difference so i don't think its a fuel problem. i took apart the kill switch last night and no luck there.
Im in central texas so not very cold and not ridden in deep mud or bad conditions.

Thnaks for the replies

Yeah, I don't see much point in exploring the fuel system if your spark tester showed you have no spark.

I've got 10 bucks on the bank angle sensor.
When your honda cuts off after only a few seconds what happens? If you hit the starter button it just turns over and over like no spark or no fuel? You have to turn the key off and on to recycle the PGI and fuel pump...... bank angle sensor.
Im in the middle of a build so I did a video of how the bank angle sensor acts on a healthy bike. It's a sensor that when the bike rolls over it cuts the bike off via fuel injection. In the video I turned my bank angle sensor upside down so you could see what it does. It basically runs for a few secs then dies because the sensor cuts the fuel and it runs out of gas.
Now your sensor is 14 and newer and looks nothing like my 13 and older but they do the same job.

Hi CZE: You can bypass the Bank Angle sensor to prove if it's bad -- use a jumper wire from the positive of the battery to the Ign. coil -- first shove the bare end of the jumper wire in a long side the Black/Red wire on the Ign. coil make sure it makes contact inside the push on connector of the Ign. coil -- then lust place the over end of the jumper on the positive of the battery -- now try starting the bike.
