I just got a 2014 Honda Rancher 420 2 wheel drive ES. The rear end was Removed because of shim being bad. I replaced them and put back together. Now the propeller/drive shaft is just spinning on the pinion gear. Looking at them they look fine. What could be my problem. I’ve also removed the spring and set the shaft all the way in and same problem. Lost

If I put the drive shaft in it turns but once I put pressure on it then it starts slipping. I can here the splines grinding in each other. It’s either the drive shaft worn out or the pinion input shaf worn out.
