Hi new to the forum and need some help. I have a 2013 rancher 420fm. I recently rebuilt the motor. Used motor from an 07 rancher that was 2wd. Used my flywheel and 4wd engine parts. Front case back case driveshaft and flywheel. Bike cranked and ran good for about 5 min. Then it got really hot so i turned it off. Now it makes a sound ive never heard before almost whining and grinding. Maybe a mix of both noises. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Im trying to figure out how to post the video of noise.

Is it liquid cooled? Water pump maybe? First thought is that the overheating and the noise go together? Possibly lost a nut or bolt that is stuck on the water pump? Could be many things. Hard to say without more info.

That makes sense. It takes more than a 5mins before the exhaust gets hot enough to burn you.
