Hello all, new member here. I have just purchased a 2013 Foreman TRX500FMD footshift with fuel injection. Trying to get it to run. I can spray air filter with starting fluid, very limited times, and she'll run that out and die. I have fuel flowing to fuel pump and the pump runs for only several seconds when the key is turned on. I unhooked the fuel line at injector (throttle body) and noticed gas would come out during this cycle time of the fuel pump then stop. It did not appear to have a lot of pressure/flow and only lasted 5/10 seconds.
My question is, is the pump supposed to keep running until it builds pressure? The pump only runs for a few seconds with or without the fuel line attached at the injector. I was going to check the injector for spray but had difficulty removing the mounting bolts. I was hoping someone has been through same issue before and could lead me in the right direction.
Thanks

sounds like a bad fuel pump ?, or a bad fuel cut-off relay ?, maybe stopped up fuel filter in the pump ?. not enough fuel getting to and from pump ?. check all of this.

I removed the pump and it was pretty clean inside. The filter looked okay. I attached 12 volts directly to terminal and the pump runs. I have downloaded a service manual but I can't locate the "angle sensor". I read where someone had problem with it shutting fuel supply off if bad. Maybe someone knows where it's located and how to check. Thanks

bank angle sensor is what it is called. I think its mounted on left side, under the frame rail near the seat ?, the service manual should show where its at if that model/year has It ?.

I removed the fuel injector from the throttle body and turned it over for several seconds. There was very little gas coming out as the engine was cranking-certainly not spraying. I'm pretty sure my problem lies in a weak fuel pump.
