Hi, my 2012 foreman 500 fan is not coming on and I hooked it up straight to battery and see that it works but does not come on in the hills when I ride, help please and thank you in advance.

there should be a temp sensor, that can fail that will not turn fan on when oil hits its targeted temp, so maybe try testing that?
replace if needed!

also, the oil MUST Hit a certain temp before coming on, many times folks THINK it should be on, yet oil is NOT up to the correct temp yet, and this is why its NOT on, SOME TIMES!
all the more so when you run good syn oil , it seems to make atv's run cooler and thus fan doesn't come on as much!

if your worried more, you an always add a on/off switch to the fan, and turn on a s you want to them>its a common mod, many do when the fan control units fail, as there a little pricy for some and they will then just add a manual on /off switch over replacing the fan control unit!

I like things to work as OEM made em,, but not everyone does!

get yourself a service manual if you don;t have one, in it will be a test to , test the oil temp sensor
