After reading several post about shift problems withe the honda rancher es I decided to replace my shift angle sensor. Picked up the new one today from the dealership. They also sold me the new o ring and an oil seal. After removing the old angle sensor it does not look exactly like the new one (no place for the oil seal). Can someone tell me if the angle sensor has changed or did I get the wrong sensor? Thanks

Hi: The oil seal is in where the "D" shaft comes out -- if it's not leaking oil out around the shaft, just don't replace it. As far as the Angle Sensor the part number has change from 38800-HR3-A11 to the new 38800-HR3-A21 -- which is likely a Hall Effect sensor now, but still a Angle Sensor.
