I downloaded it and I cant figure out where these go? They were down by the shift linkage after I tried reattaching the side cover of the motor where the stator is. And does anyone by any chance know which way the arm goes back on the shift linkage? There is also a groove in the arm and not a groove on the linkage? Its really hard to put the arm back on the linkage?

lol, welcome to the world of atv motors huh ?..lmfao. okkkkkkkkk, first: the service manual shows you how all that goes together...if ya took the time to read it, study it ?. anywayyy, first pic: those two parts, one is a retainer lock washer, second is the oil seal that goes on the outside of the cover, around the shifting shaft. the pics with the arm : pretty sure the long part of the arm faces inwards once on the shaft ?. both parts are splined with the groove you spoke of. sooooooooooo, do this: put the oil seal back in the cover, flat side faces out, careful when tapping it back in, so you won't tear it !. slide the shifting shaft ( grease it first ! ), into the cover, while your doing this, slide the arm on the shaft, the grooves will only let it go on one way, with the long part of the arm facing to your left as your looking down on it, now slide that metal lock washer/tang on the shaft, those flat tangs on it should be on one or two sides of the bolt/screw that you removed in order to pull the shaft out, if it all lines back up right ?, you should be able to tap the tangs on the washer down onto the bolt head, these keep the bolt from backing out once you have it installed. the long part of the arm goes into the shaft that has a large slot in it, its inside the back of the motor. look at it like this, when you lift the foot shift lever up, the shaft turns up, when the shaft turns up, that long part of the arm on the other end, lifts up/rotates the shifting shaft ( the long one inside the motor ), this goes all the way through the motor, too the front of the engine, this is where your shifting parts are attached to the shift drum. have I lost ya yet ??..lol. once ya tear a few of these motors apart ?, you will understand how they all pretty much work :).
