Hi all, I'm new to this forum, but have gotten a lot of useful info. I am going to pick up my new Rancher in a couple of days, and ordered a ES, so that my wife would have an easier time driving it.

My question is this: did the shifting problems get corrected with the past couple years' models? It just seemed for a while that if people were having trouble with the rancher, it was with the ES models. I have done multiple searches, and have not found an '09 or '10 that someone has complained about the ES with. I realize you can always get a lemon, but I've done as much research and test driving as I can, and I have not heard much on whether the newer models have had trouble with the ES.

welcome to the forums...I don't know if any changes have been made to the ES or not, most problems have went back to the angle sensor,me & my son both have ES ranchers his an '02 mine an '05 owned both since new and no trouble yet "knock on wood"...I would suggest one thing though,di-electric grease in every electrical connection, big beleiver in this especially if your quad will be in any water!

i'm sure the dealer will tell you anything about if and when they fixed the elec shift models....just to make a sell...but..it would probally be a good idea...to do alotttttttttt of research on this model...the manaul foot shift is the better of the models..but..thats my opinion, just trying to save you alot of trouble down the road...before you go make a big purchase.
