Does anyone know if the snow plow brackets for a 2010 Rancher 420 will work on a 2016 Rancher 420?

Depends on the mount.

and plow design and brand!
they did make universal mounts, that fit MOST, but doesn;t mean they fit all or very well

some times its best to buy a correct mount for correct brand plow and ATV
doubt there's much different in prices!

The frames are completely different between those two years. If your bracket is a model specific one and not some universal one, it's not going to work. I am doing the opposite of you; just sold my 2016 foot shift because I bought an 2011 automatic with power steering. I kept the bracket off my 2016 but it won't fit my 2011.

No brackets will be different. I'm pretty certain the frames changed in 2014. 2014 (if I'm correct) onwards use a larger frame, the same or very similar to the foreman 500.
