I have a 2010 Honda fourtrax rancher 420 auto gpscape with power steering. It has the fully auto tranny with optional electric shift. The bike worked fine up until tonight when the bike would not start due to it not going into neutral after it was shut off in drive. It is flashing a”-“ on the screen (2 slow and 4 fast). The has happened once before, and I slightly turned the angle sensor ( as I read somewhere else) and it was fixed. This time I tried that and also rocking the bike back and forth and I did get the screen to show it was in drive. I then started the bike, drove it and it worked fine until I shut it off, then the gear indicator started flashing again.

Could this be from water or dirt in angle sensor or from wet or dirty wiring. Connections? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

That points to shift motor controller.

As you go through the steps mentioned above, be sure to clean connections, apply dielectric grease where appropriate as well as other lubricants plus have a good battery.
