I've heard that they have a design flaw with the diff seals and it allows water to get into the diffs, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem you're having or not.

Also, I don't know if that's all years or just certain years.

My 420

My rancher has been making a strange noise for about 3 months. Never knew where it was coming from... Yesterday it finally broke.....no go! Tore it down today. Every seal had disappeared, pinion gear/stripped, ring gear/ destroyed, bearings/who knows where those went, rear drive shaft/splines gone!!! $$$$

gotta love this forums..i get to see this almost every day..lol..first off..and i can't stress this enough..but..they are gonna do it anyway..big tires..with big lugs..= big repair bills for rear differentals..or front for that matter...this does not mean this is your case..but it sure doesn't help to have big arse swampers or what ever on your ride..i've seen it many times..as for your 6 day old ride..make honda fix it..don't let them try to tell you..'' it was your fault ''..good luck.
