Does anyone know where or if you can get an after market seat for a Rancher 420? The stock one is OK for short rides but went to Hatfield and McCoy and by the end of the first day the seat was killing me!:( I have checked everywhere on line I can think of and have not been able to find one. Or does anyone know where I can get one redone with better padding?

Thanks,
SS

Welcome to the forums. I doubt that they make an aftermarket seat for the 420, I've not seen one, anyway.

You might look into getting some of the padded riding shorts. I'm serious.

How 'bout you tire's air pressure? Try running 4.5-5 lbs if your not already.

And last, stand up, move around on the quad. You will find that you have more control shifting your body weight around than just being planted to the seat.

I had my 08' seat 1/2 refoamed w/ 6in memory foam. Now i can ride all day and stay seated with no problem. By leaving 1/2 of the factory foam if you ever head a big dip or hole, you dont bottom the seat out

I have the '10 model and I really like the seat. You might try getting a '10 seat for your '09. At least you could check one out at your local dealer before trying to buy one to see if you like it.
Thanks Guys. I am going this weekend to make sure the 2010 seat will fit my 2009. If it will I am going to order one since they are only $94, I guess I cant really go wrong. I will let everyone know what happens.

Well I guess the seats are on backorder at Honda. So we are heading to Hatfield and McCoy this weekend and the seat will not be in till 2 weeks after we get back, so I guess I need to find a pillow.:icon_cussing:
