Goid afternoon everyone. I have a 2009 Recon ES for my kids and now when you drive it and turn either way there is a noticable "pop" in the front end. It doesn't do it when you drive straight at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Probably bad wheel bearings. Could be dry/worn out ball joints & tie rods too, or a bad steering stem lower bearing. Jack the front end up so you can pull and wiggle on those parts and you'll probably find a few parts sloppy and worn out. Replace with OEM Honda parts only, unless you're wealthy enough to replace with china several times. Let us know what you find... and welcome to the forums!

Appreciate it! Glad to be here. I did jack it up today and tried.to.wiggle the tires.back and forth (pushing the top in and then the bottom in) and everything seemed tight. I could lift the tire up about a half inch or so on each side but it was equal on each side so I didn't know if that's normal or not. I'm not mechanical but I can fix simple stuff if I know for sure what's wrong.

Sounds like worn out ball joints if you can lift and drop the wheels 1/2" on both sides. Maybe ask someone to do that for you while you watch for play in those joints? Watch for vertical play in the axles too, which indicates bad wheel bearings. If you need to replace any bearings make sure you get new seals for them too. And pack the new bearings 3/4 full of fresh grease (fill seal lips too) cause they are shipped almost completely empty. Same with ball joints & tie rods... fill the boots with grease before installing them. Keep us posted if you can...

the Cv joints were dry on the 2000, it made a clacking sound when turning. i stuck them with a grease needle. does your noise happen when going straight?
