I have a 2009 Honda Rancher ES 420. Fuel Injected.

Took out of winter storage, put in battery, machine fired up. Ran a bit the next two days, no issues.

All of a sudden went to start, clicking noise under seat, neutral light flickering. Hit start flickering light goes out and clicking stops, machine doesn't turn over. Let go of ignition clicking comes back. It's not the solenoid.

Clicking is coming from small black box that wiring harness goes to under seat. I have a twin machine, switched those two black boxes and still had same issue with same machine. The green neutral light slowly begins to flicker, the clicking starts underneath in the black box. So, it's not that black box off the wiring harness.

I then put my battery boost on...machine turned over, immediately fires, but as quick as it fires it quits. Do again, same thing...quickly fires and quits.

Any ideas...I'm totally confused.

Thanks,

Ben

If you have the same unit which runs perfectly just switch the battery out and try it. Like mentioned previously, I think you have lose wire or something exposed a mouse chewed, so if it continues to act up after swapping the battery get the ohm meter out and find it.
