so a friend of mine gifted me a 08 foreman, camo, that was in the flood 2 years ago. it was in peices when i picked it up where they had tried to fix it but 99% of the bike was there. got it home and throttle cable sized, and pull rope was a no go. so i filled the cylinder with MMO and let her sit over night. we tried pull start with no turn over it was sized solid, to the car off and could see where the water had gotten in, it was the throttle that was seized cable is fine, carb is toast i think, ill just get a fresh one. pulled the valve cover all looked pristine. pulled the head and there was some surface rust on the valves but not bad. i may just clean them up and reseat them with new seals. pull the cylinder after some gentle persuasion from a wood block and mallet and the inside was rusted, not terrible but enough to keep it from spinning over. the case looked pretty good, a little area of rust on the crank and connecting rod but all the insides move freely and it had clean oil in it. shifts fine. i my just clean the rust off with a wire brush and wipe it out with rags and a few oil changes. ill bore and replace the piston/rings and re work the head. new carb and it should run. hooked it up to my jump box and the dash lights up and tapped the starter it worked. it'll be fun getting it goin and should be a nice bike when its done.
