New Guy Here…

The front brakes are squeaking / grinding on my son’s 2008 TRX 250EX, only when he uses the breaks. Is it time for new pads? Could it be something else? Is this something I can repair on my own without any special tools? Any suggestions on parts?

Welcome to the forums. If the brakes are grinding, more than likely, the pads are worn out and need replaced, but you'll need to do a visual inspection to be sure. You won't need any special tools other than maybe a c-clamp to push the piston back into the caliper.

Welcome to the forums! .... Agreed^^^^^ also if you do not have a C-clamp you can use a big flat bladed screw driver leave the caliper on and pry against the pad and rotor, the rotor is strong enough for that I do know. then remove the caliper bolts. when you go to install the caliper make sure you clean the bolts up and grease them.
